Anna Lockwood

This painting is an imperfect snapshot of a moment in time. There are shared similarities between this group of corvids and a group of people. I wanted to create a nostalgic portrayal of a family portrait from the 1980's before digital cameras, when photos showed flaws. I've tried to paint this flock as individuals, with each bird portraying its own character, as in any human community or group of people.
